It seems inevitable these days that prices are rising everywhere. The same has now happened with our prime line of Alec Jackson hooks – all series from the ‘go to’ Covert, Chironomid and all the Salmon and Steelhead models.
As a result of a factory price increase by Daiichi, who make the AJ line, and the import duties into the USA where they are distributed from, there has been nearly as 25% increase in cost.
Although we always try to do the best in pricing for our customers you will see unpleasant higher prices now but not to the extent of the full increase in our costs.
We are absorbing as much of those increases as we can in an effort to offer this most popular hook line available at what we believe is less than you might find elsewhere, and thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Alec Jackson's Hooks
Alec Jackson's Spey Fly Hooks were developed as a result of his desire to obtain better hooks for his personal use. During the early 1970's he negotiated with a British hook maker for the production of hooks manufactured to his specifications. He learned that he would be required to contract for more hooks than he could ever hope to use himself. Thus he was forced into the business of selling hooks and the Yorkshire Fly-Fisher was founded.
Today, Daiichi®, Japan's Fly Rod & Reel Magazine 2002 Award Winning Hook Maker, manufactures Alec Jackson's Spey Fly Hooks to his exacting standards from High Carbon Steel. A unique combination of strength, sharpness, and design gives them superb hooking and holding characteristics.
Alec Jackson's Spey Fly Hooks have good hooking and holding characteristics because they are the correct shape, have ultra-fine and ultra-sharp points. They are very strong and have a long point life because Daiichi® makes them from a superior grade of High Carbon Steel.
We only have to make our point once!
