Abdomen:Pearl mylar tinsel - single layer,tied in
at a point beyond start of hook bend.Spool
in it's own bobbin(you can carefully stretch
out the end of the mylar to thin it for tie-in)
Thread:Olive 16/0 ...tie on just back of the
intended thorax area to create a collar
UNDER the advanced pearl mylar.Use the
thread to tie off the mylar at the thorax/
abdomen juncture.
Wing buds:Golden brown UNI-Floss (rayon/viscose)
Thorax:Pheasant tail fibres ( here 3 were used,
wrapped side-by-side,not twisted)
Breathers:Grey antron yarn
...Coat the thread head and the space
between the wing buds at the bottom
of the thorax with Pro Tyer UV Resin,carefully.
Give the abdomen a light coating of UV
cure resin aswell.Also,apply a light coat
of resin to the outside of the floss wing
buds for added protection.
