You can roll this soft putty-like  mixture into your desired shape.
Placing it over a knot will ensure that it doesn't slip on the leader. The material stays soft and malleable in cold or warm weather, and it is heavier than lead.
 
As Andy Larkin suggests, Tungsten Tacky Weight is awesome when paired up with thin lacquer'd UV epoxies to form under bodies on nymphs as well.
