Our Brass and Tungsten items made in China are aduty free prodiucts under the Harmonized Tariff Codes meaning our imports into Canada are saved that additional cost, but the volatility of the the raw material costs for the factories has resulted in steadily escalating prices.
Since September 2025 the price of Brass Rods which these products are produced from have gone up 66% so far and the price of Tungsten Powder has quadrupled since then and is anticipated to continue to rise on a weekly/monthly basis. There seems no end in sight ☹
We have absorbed a significant part of those new higher costs as our goal has always to bring these products to you at a lower price than many of our competitors. We will continue to do that but must warn you there will be some unpleasant surprises as you reorder some of your favorite items.
Unfortunately, these price hikes will continue for the foreseeable future so we urge you to anticipate your Winter tying needs and buy all you might need as soon as possible since the next price increase will most certainly occur, and soon.
