Abdomen: ...after the ribbing material has been tied in
tie on a thin strip cut from the plastic liner bag found
in breakfast cereal boxes.Wrap an underbody,up and
down the shank,with the tying thread.Coat with UV cure
resin,and cure,and apply another cured coating afterwards.
Tie in at the abdomen/thorax juncture a flattened strand
of unwaxed dental floss ( pull the dental floss between
thumbnail and finger-tip to straighten and flatten) and wrap
down to the end of the underbody and back up again.Apply
a thin coat of UV cure resin again,allowing the floss to go
translucent before curing.Apply another 2 thin coatings
of UV resin,curing after each, and then wrap the ribbing
forward.And again,apply at least 2 more thin resin coatings
to finish the outside surface of the abdomen.
Thorax cover:Black UTC Flasback mylar .... here,pulled
forward over thorax after dubbing,tied down,and folded
back again.A very thin layer of UV resin is applied to hold
the uppermost layer down,being sure to pull the dubbed
fibres downward as you apply the resin and set it.
Thorax:Magic Flash dubbing in Cobalt,fibres left long to dub,
and then scrubbed after tying off behind the bead head.
